Life is short. Lashes don't have to be!

I offer eyelash extensions services at my home studio, Ikigai Studio, in St. Albert, AB. I'm a certified Lash Extension Tech, I was in the lash extensions program at Eveline Charles Academy/Eyelash Addict, which is where I learned all of my skills

I only do single, semi-permanant lashes! For those of you who are new to this, here's what that means; the lashes are applied only by one, each to ONE SINGLE NATURAL LASH. This ensures that your natural lashes are able to grop and shed as they would naturally, cause no damage to your natural lashes. I treat your lashes like my own.

The only time that is not one to one is with volume eyelash extensions but only to those clients whose eyelashes are suitable for it.

I provided some eyelash extensions information below:

Eyelash extensions are not for everyone. This is a very high maintenance beauty treatment. It requires very gentle care in order for the lashes to last long and stay in good condition. Once the lashes are attached you must not rub or pull on them. You must not wear any mascara or use Eyelash curlers. You should read and understand all the information listed below, and sign the form before you get this service done.

What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are individual Synthetic material. They are attached to your Eyelash individually not to the skin. Each synthetic lash is attached to an eyelash. It is a very enhancing beauty service and you DO NOT need to use any Mascara while wearing these Eyelash extensions. It is a very careful and intense service which requires skill and precision. Once applied these lashes are so natural looking it is difficult to tell even up close that you have extensions on. Size availability ranges from short to long.

How long do the Eyelashes last?

It is an individual process. We lose one Eyelash almost everyday. We also grow a new lash to replace the one that fell out. These Lashes can stay on up to 2 full Months with proper care and maintenance. However, factors such as eyelash growth, lifestyle and general after care will affect how long the lashes last. Please do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, seek professional help from your technician. I WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT YOU MAY CAUSE BY TRYING TO REMOVE THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS ON YOUR OWN.

Do the False Eyelashes damage my natural Eyelashes?

No, not at all! The Lash adhesive is formulated to create a solid bond, specifically for human lashes. The adhesive dries very soft on the lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes.

How do you know if your eyelash extensions are really good?
It’s really hard to tell until you have experienced really good extensions.
The procedure involves careful and precise bonding of a synthetic extension to each of your natural eyelashes; one at a time; without sticking to or interfering with other lashes.

However, there are so many cases in which applications are not properly done.
These are the examples of knowing that your extensions were not applied correctly.

• Extensions start to turn and twist (it can also be just the way your lashes grow cause my lash grows in a circular motion)
• Your eye lids feel itchy and painful
• An extension which falls off sticks to another natural lash
• Natural lashes fall off in clumps

Now, it’s not surprising at all that extensions are individually applied to each separate eyelash. Here, the procedure is done more delicately. I check the condition of your natural lashes very carefully to see the stage of growth your lashes are at. It is very important to know your natural lashes growth cycle to select which lashes to apply your extensions onto.
I try not to apply extensions to the lashes in the Anagen (growing) and Telogen(resting/fall off soon) phase as much as I can; which is why our extensions will last longer and stay neater with less twists and turns.

The outcome and quality of your lash extensions will rely heavily upon whom you choose to do your application.
